How to Play

Type a 5-letter word and press Enter. Each guess must be a valid English word. After each guess, the tiles change colour to show how close you were.

• Green tile – the letter is correct and in the right position.
• Yellow tile – the letter is in the word but in the wrong position.
• Grey tile – the letter is not in the word.

Tips

Start with words that cover common letters like E, A, R, I, O, T, N and S. Your second guess should use letters you haven't tried yet. Use the colour pattern from each row before committing to your next guess.

About the Daily Word Game

Everyone gets the same word each day. The puzzle resets at midnight. Your streak is saved in your browser so it persists across visits on the same device.
